What are Secondary Conditions?

Secondary conditions are also called symptoms. At Foundation Chiropractic, we use the term 'SECONDARY CONDITIONS' a lot. The reason is, we know that there is always a reason why a person has a problem. Our approach is to correct the primary condition, a structural shift in the spine. For example. take anterior head syndrome.

Once a structural shift is present and irritating the spinal nerves and spinal cord, it can create many different secondary conditions or symptoms. The reason these are called secondary conditions is because they are a result of the primary structural shift, or the underlying cause. The location of the structural shift and where the nerves are being irritated will give us an idea about your secondary conditions and what we need to do to fix it.
